			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Connecticut Republican Party Victory Operations department is opening a new Victory Center for volunteers to help lead Connecticut to become a swing state for Gov. Romney.  The mission is to get the message out to the voters of Connecticut that Connecticut can make a difference in this important Presidential election.</p>
<p>Victory Center volunteers will be making calls for a wide variety of Connecticut candidates both federal and state as well as for our next President of these United States, Governor Mitt Romney.</p>
<p>The Victory Center, located in Bristol, Connecticut as a central location for volunteers, operates on an open door policy. Meaning anyone who can come and make calls for a half hour or all day/night long are welcome to walk in, introduce themselves, and sit down and go to work. Volunteers can also provide a schedule of dates/times they are able to volunteer.</p>

<p>She was the GOP candidate for Mayor in 2011, and through her many years of residency and service in town, Clarke knows East Hartford’s Town Government and is looking forward to being more involved again. </p>
<p>The East Hartford Town Council will vote on this recommendation at its next meeting.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>East Hartford, June 20, 2012. Republican Thomas A. Ogar will be running for the 11<sup>th</sup> Assembly District, which covers parts of East Hartford, South Windsor, and Manchester. </p>
<p>Tom Ogar is an attorney and a resident of East Hartford, CT. He received his B.B.A. degree from Hofstra University and a law degree from Columbia University. Currently, he is in private practice in Hartford, Conn. Attorney Ogar has held various positions in both private and government organizations. During his tenure with Washington DC Child and Family Services Agency, he was responsible for developing substance abuse programs for children and pregnant women suffering from the effects of drug use and abuse.  This program helped to alleviate the substance abuse problems in DC and the surrounding communities.  As a program developer, he originated a pilot program in collaboration with Columbia University to prevent children from using drugs. The ultimate aim of this program was to reunite children in foster care system with their families together in a timely fashion. </p>
<p>As an educator, he taught at Arizona State University, Arizona and Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Whatever the circumstances, he strives to achieve daily goals and to enhance his client’s well being.</p>
<p>His interest in politics is to make a difference by contributing sound economic and political ideas at the state level, providing the residents of the 11th Assembly District with a real voice in state government. Tom has had practice representing the people through his work with clients in business creation, planning and growth. He knows how to motivate and work with individuals, families, groups, and organizations.  Tom has worked with a diverse population, and he will create a positive change in the lives of the residents of this district.</p>
